The space shuttle program is close to the end with the final flight of Discovery today. The last shuttle flight will be Endeavor’s flight in April 2011.  I remember when the shuttle program begin in 1980 when I was 9 years old. I wanted to grow up and be in the shuttle program but things didn’t turn out that way. Oh well I will miss the shuttle program. And, I hope NASA keep on inspiring us with man missions in space. America‘s space program represents the very best of us and it would be a shame if we didn’t continue to be a leader in space flight. Thanks for the memories and accomplishments. The Shuttle program achieved a lot and, not without cost in money and lives. We should have found a way to do it cheaper but, as a whole, humanity is better off for it.
